Swansea Guildhall - Case Study

Further to negotiation with John Weaver, heritage officers and the Local Authority, CABS were commissioned for the clean down of one of Swansea’s most prestigious and recognised landmarks, the Guildhall Clock Tower. Standing proudly in the centre of Swansea, overlooking the bay, this striking 1930’s Grade 1 listed building has been subjected to decades of dirt and grime. Due to the delicate nature of the clean, we recommended the DOFF cleaning system. With the combination of super-heated steam and low pressure, it was the ideal machine for the job and produced results that surpassed expectations. And, as there was no requirement for the use of any chemicals, the dirt, moss and algae were removed without any adverse effect to the stonework.

The main contractor was so impressed, they personally thanked CABS during a presentation by the Local Authority and Lord Mayor, wherein we were awarded the next phase of the contract; to clean the Brangwyn Hall.
