AXA Building Coventry - Case Study

As specialists in student accommodation Study Inn acquired the landmark site in Coventry city centre that once housed AXA Insurance. The building’s unique image is based on the fact that it is golden from top to bottom including gold glazing and it required a full refurbishment to be converted into high end student flats.

CABS were employed to restore all the masonry and window frames to their former golden glory. As Rosetta accredited DOFF operator CABS were confident that they could provide a wonderful finish to the Bath Stone replica panels but, faced a challenge in combining the works at height and in an area of heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

By successfully designing a program of works that involved the use of specialist building cradles CABS were able to return the building to its former glory in 19 working days.
